STATUS

Proposal

Located in Bishop Auckland, this artist workshop is designed as a creative hub that brings together art, community, and architecture. The building is organised across three levels, with a workshop on the ground floor, a resident artist space on the first floor, and a café on the top floor, offering a place for social interaction and relaxation. Inspired by the geometric form of a diamond, the building features a distinctive angular design clad in perforated wooden panels. These panels interact with natural sunlight throughout the day, casting unique patterns of light and shadow that constantly transform the interior spaces, creating a dynamic and inspiring environment for creativity.
